Default fuel tank issue

Hi
I have this big issue i have to change the sending unit in the tank but when i install it again porsche say you have to replace o ring and put 22 pound tork but it dosent seal completly theres a fuel leak!!! Any product to seal that resist fuel??
Do i have to buy a new tank????

I would take it apart again maybe you pinched the o ring seal so that it has not sat correctly and has ripped or elongated somewhere. I would take it apart and re tighten but give keep going until it is tight then turn it half a turn more. did you put the o ring in dry ? I would have used a bit of fuel or oil to lube it up a bit.

cannot see any harm being done with a tiny smear of oil on the o ring. Are you sure the leak is originating from the sender unit and not any where else ?

I f the above doesn't work, you could try some Curil-T on the gasket.
