I've spa on my list. March could be fine, but possibly two weeks to early...

I like the sound of Paul Ricard too, it's just an afternoons drive away for me!
If not I'd love to do Spa?

Whilst Paul Ricard sounds a better idea from the point of view of the weather, plus its a track Ive never been to, it's over 900 miles for me compared with 433 to Spa.

One is do-able in a day, the other a lot more difficult.

However, does anyone have any stats on what the weather has been like in Spa on that weekend over (for example) the last 10 years?

I'd love to put my name down and come along, but Spa is sooooo much better in the dry.

HISTORICAL MONTHLY AVERAGES FOR MARCH

The information presented below gives detailed historical monthly average weather conditions along with exceptional weather occurrences. To maintain relevance to current weather trends the displayed information has been calculated using data collected over the past two decades. The climate profile is taken from closest available data source to Spa Francorchamps Circuit.

Temperature
Throughout the month of March daytime temperatures will generally reach highs of around 8°C that's about 46°F. At night the average minimum temperature drops down to around 2°C, that's 35°F.

In recent times the highest recorded temperature in March has been 21°C that's 70°F, with the lowest recorded temperature -14°C, about 7°F.

Relative Humidity
The average daily relative humidity for March is around 76%.

Heat Index
The Heat Index is a measure of how hot it feels when relative humidity is added to actual air temperature. From this a comfort level is calculated providing categories on how heat conditions might adversely affect someone.

Comfort Levels: Given average maximum temperatures and humidity levels generally you should not anticipate any discomfort from heat (see heat index for more information).

Precipitation
The average monthly amount of precipitation has been recorded at around 101 mm, that's 4 inches. Throughout the month you can expect to see rain or drizzle falling on 15 days of the month, with snow falling on 6 days.

Estimated Hours of Sunshine per Day
We calculate sunshine hours per day using our past forecast data. For March expect the sun to shine for an average of 5 hours per day. This represents the average number of hours in the daytime that the sun is visible and not obscured by cloud e.g. the average number of hours the sun is actually out and shining. Note we calculate hours of sunshine per day using our past forecast data, not observation data, thus it is an estimate and not actual.

Wind
The average daily wind speed in March has been around 15 km/h, that’s the equivalent to about 9 mph, or 8 knots. In recent years the maximum sustained wind speed has reached 72 km/h, that’s the equivalent of around 45 mph, or 39 knots.

Fog
On average the month of March is affected by foggy conditions on 7 days.

Update:

Spoke to Jonny at BaT over last few days and they are looking to firm up March 2014 dates in the coming few weeks. Target date will be weekend of 22/23rd March. He will confirm prices and deal for one or two days and the garages once he has the contract for the dates from the track.

Also for those worried about the weather. We did get a credit from BAT for the lost day this year which basically paid for my day at Donington in September that Boxsey organised. Anyway as Mick said above we can be 80% sure that there will be a 99% probability of sun and warmth ala 2012.

I think this was a bit freakish. The last few years here in Switzerland, March has been relatively warm with Snow on the slopes becoming slushy by midday. This year we had so much snow and bringing with it poor visibility, that skiing became difficult.
80% chance of no snow are pretty good odd's, but at the end of the day, no one can be 100% until you are there.
I hope I will be able to join in this year!

Not posted in this thread yet because I have to say I'm on the fence about risking the weather for a March trip again.
