Option 2

As you have stated the seats and carpet are already black so you could stage it.

Option 3 and then Option 2.

You like to take pics of your car....so you should go option 1. Personally, I'd go all black, with very small red accents....maybe a thin strip on the door or top half red and bottom black....the mid section of the dash...the dial or 2....maybe a red bar in the lower back of the seat and/or red stitching.

Option 4 for me (but without the red handbrake...). Closely(ish) followed by 3

Just my opinion, but all red just looks as if it's tiring too hard, if that makes sense....

Here are some pics someone posted on Pelican this morning. It's not a 964 but it will give you some additional food for thought.

It looks like it'll be Option 2 or 4 - We're gonna start by doing just the red door cards and red dash strip, keeping the seats, carpets and centre console black. From there we'll drape hides over the seats and then floor - make a decision from there.

Option 2

if I had to chose between those two it would def be option 2 ... but its a tough choice for sure
I say that because ity makes the seats look more important than the carpets .. which they are!

Slightly OT: anyone know where the frunk pull lever is on that Singer ... hadnt seen one in RHD now that I think of it

option 2 but leave the air vents, handbrake grip and centre consol black

it all looks a bit 80's custom car too much colour coding thing going on style for me if they are red too

Yup completely agree, they'll be black regardless of the option choice.

Black seats are easier to live with from a wear/staining perspective. I agree with the Captain... Too much mix and match color can seem sort of 80's cheesy.

RUF Centre Reflector

Soooo finally sourced one from the source. RUF UK supplied. There was a delay as the first one got smashed in the post by the time it arrived at RUF UK.

Anyway it now in the safe hands of famed 964 painter www.lemass.co.uk

Without much surprise it turns out its literally just a cut facia and lenses applied to a standard 964 centre reflector. Tom wasn't impressed with the fit and finish...

"It's a normal reflector with two holes cut in it. Then the ruf lenses are inserted. And the rubbers super glued back in place quite poorly, and messy too. Taken them all off to do it properly"

So overall I guess we're not overly impressed with the RUF part...

A point worth investigation is that I believe that RUF will sell you just the lenses which means you can do the necessary modifications yourself. Wish I'd known this. My loss your gain. A cheap way to replace your dull looking defectors...

Watch this space.
