Default Rear bumper side braces - where to find?

Now that I'm elbow deep in bringing my newly acquired 91 964 cab up to par I have found a number of little things missing on my car that needs replacement. I am missing the driver side rear brace that connects the body to the side skirt portion of the rear bumper. I can't seem to find a replacement piece, does anyone know a place for me to track one down?

Thanks

Have a look at the picture below, if part # 19 is what you are looking for, the part # is 964.505.475.00, there may be a left and right. I would contact http://www.sunsetimports.com, they can order anything you want. No affiliation............

We can usually get any parts that aren't NLA. Feel free to PM me with any questions or part numbers and I can see what we can do. Glad to see your putting new life in your 964.

If it is bracket part #22 from above (the rear-most pair of brackets) just remove the other one and forget about it.

I removed this pair of brackets years ago to save weight and have not missed them.

I thought there was a dude in the UK that was making reproductions of these pieces, in case you can't find a OEM one.

Yup, my first set (for another 964) was from Roger. When speaking to Roger at the time it was the last set he had then and wasn't sure when, or if, he'd be doing any more.

Neil, I know has started doing these the last 3 or 4 months for all ends and sides of the car as a full set or as single items. Prices seemed pretty reasonable if I recall.

But as I said, its great that more people are offering parts for our cars at reasonable prices

Yup got mine from Roger. Top quality and a major saving over OEM.

I also got mine from Roger and they fit beautifully. he also supplies the fittings for them
Pity I snapped off the upper most stud on the body when replacing them.

Not sure where you're located but www.partsheaven.com and www.ladismantler.com have worked for me as sources of parts. Because these brackets are at the rear they suffer badly in damp/cold climates especially where salt is used. Be sure to insist on "rust-free" items.

Also if you are looking for the #19 part, the flat horizontal arm is not that strong to begin with and often requires welding to repair cracks that develop at the joint over years of flexing.

Good luck!
