Default Advice on fitting pole position seat to UK 964 please!

Hi folks, I bought an excellent condition used PP, shell only, to replace my worn out drivers' seat (yes, used, but I have already been to the confessional about that..).

I save some weight, have some fun and can get my original seat restored at my leisure and by the right people, without taking the car out of commission. And then, probably when I get older and my trousers stop being on fire, the whole car goes back to stock, with flags and D90's, and I will drive it around imperiously with my pork-pie hat sliding about on the rear parcel shelf. Err, so, where was I..? Ah yes...

I have been searching on the forum and am still uncertain about how to plan how I'm fitting this..so can someone help me out, ideally from UK? There doesnt seem to be a definitive thread on this, even though it seems like a super common route to follow in 964 and 993 circles.

- My basic mounting choice is recaro side mounts and sliders or brey krausse side mounts that fit the existing sliders, both working out at same overall cost. The BK option is probably simpler..What are the pros and cons? Are there less expensive alternatives?

- Can someone explain how they organised the seatbelt mounts, in terms of UK MOT requirements, and where they got the hardware. I have been reading about the RS mount, and about direct mounting to the seat mounts, can't seem to get a clear plan!

Thanks in advance!

Cheers J/.

Southbound mounts and Recaro sliders is what you want.

Southbound make Recaro mounts - who knew!

Why not recaro's own mounts, Pops? Do the southbound mounts take the seatbelt anchor?

Bingo, they do take the seat belt eyes. The Recaro's don't. Recaro mounts can be a pain in the **** - you'd have to use separate mounts or drill the tunnel.
The Southbound option is a turnkey/ easy solution.

Resurrecting an old thread. So I took the plunge and ordered PPs. I contacted Southbound trimmers for the mounts and they sent me this.

1. item number one Pole position mounts are not tested or approved for use &
sale in USA .

So my question is, how did you guys in the US obtain the mounts?

I used Recaro sliders and brackets with the OEM RS seatbelt anchor on mine, piece o' cake.

I've read that some modifications have to be done. Did you have that same experience?

The only mod I encountered, if you can call it that, is drilling one hole on each inside bracket if you want to utilize two bolts on the OEM RS seatbelt receptacle.
