Mid-Weight RS flywheel kits
Hi Gents,
We've completed the engineering on the mid-weight RS flywheel (adds 7 lbs to the 13 lb factory item). These are still much lighter and far more durable than the OEM 38 lb Dual-Mass unit. I'd love to hear from anyone interested in these so I know how many to make in the first run. |
I'm definitely interested, as I plan on changing my clutch at some point this year. Any idea on cost?
|
I may be interested as well. Interested on cost as well... When you say "adds 7 pounds", (and I know you are the guru..), how does this happen, and is there any risk of separation like my stock DMF...?
Clutch is coming soon, and the mid-weight to limit stalling risk may be just right! |
I assume what Steve is saying is these are 20 lbs instead of the 13 lb RS part.

Subtract 18 pounds from stock. probably improves throttle compared to original but decreases stalling of the light weight unit.
|
I too am interested. Will you have a complete package with clutch, flywheel, guide tube etc?
|
What he said. ^
|
Et all,..
No danger of the weight coming loose; its a well proven technology over the past 13 years. :) :) I will package this as a complete, ready-to-install kit that contains EVERYTHING you need. I'll finalize pricing by the end of the week and post to both my website & Forums. |
So this would be similar to running an early 89 single mass flywheel?
|
Damn. This is too late for me as my RS clutch/flywheel parts have already arrived.
Steve - I'll be contacting you about a GIAC chip shortly. Thanks, |
What kind of power will this hold up to?

I have some that hold up to 525 lbs-ft. |
Probably not the first run, but eventually yes.
|
Yes!

I was going to a '89 single mass setup so yes I would be interested. Looking forward to another fine Rennsport product.
