Default Correct Tow Hook for 964

Hi,

Whilst i'm waiting to get my Rennline tow hooks, i'm going to buy a spare tow hook for the back of my 964 - just in case as i don't want marshall's pulling me out by whatever they can hook onto!!

Looking around the web, i've seen that apparently the correct tow hook for a 964 is part number 928.722.101.05 but i have also seen on flea bay people advertising that 996.721.151.00 is the correct part number.

The 996 part number is somewhat cheaper than the 928 part number too....

Can anyone please tell me which is the correct tow hook or are they interchangeable?

Thanks

Correct part according to PET is the 928 part number

996 one may fit as well though, I'm guessing the thread may well be the same

The 996 lug has a shorter distance between the screw thread and the "loop", and may sit too close to the PU on a 964. It should still work (the threads are identical) but there won't be much clearance for the tow line to be attached, especially on the rear, with the PU moldings close to the hole for the lug.

I'm also looking for a 964 lug, so would be interested to know if you find them reasonably priced.

Dont buy teh wrong one from Rennline like I did. The site site isn't clear, diameter of one of them is about 4mm too small.
