The OEM panel closes off the area completely and does not allow for any air movement. The mesh panel does not have the top blocked off and creates a channel up and above the engine cross member for air to escape. If I were to drill I would open up the bottom heat shielding (the thick formed aluminium foil) instead of drilling through the frame. But, I don't think this is entirely necessary, there will be air movement thanks to the mesh panel.

Thanks!
Andrew

Thank you for the kind words and support all through the design and development. It has been a fun project to work on.

First kit has been shipped! I will be shipping them daily as I receive the brackets from printing and assemble them. Please look for a PM update and mounting instructions.

Thanks!
Andrew

Hi everyone.
It will probably be me that takes over this project from Andrew when he's finished as I was already working on something similar.
Before taking orders I'd like to get some feedback from the people who've got a SausageCat kit and make any necessary tweaks.

I'll try and keep this thread updated until I'm ready to take orders and then start a new thread. If everyone likes the quality I'd be happy to hear about any other parts you guys would be interested in. I have easy access to an SC, my 964, a 993 and a 996 so will try and adapt the reflector replacement for those if there is enough interest out there.

I just hope I can reach the bar which has been set so high by Andrew!

Please put me on the interest list for the next round.

Has anyone made a set of clear rear tail light lenses ?

Great! Excited to see that this project is continuing - maybe we can set up a group shipment to the US to save on shipping cost.
