While I wait for the last of the deliveries I thought I would share the final design of the brackets and how to attach the light bracket to the main frame bracket. It took some time and several design iterations to get to this point and I think out of all the project the brackets were most complicated.

Here is what a 3 light setup will look like.

The light bracket on both left and right frame bracket fits in the opening and slides tightly all the way through the other side. No need to glue it in as the light has no way of sliding out because of lack of space in the corners.

Here is how much it stick out on the other side. Once you get the kit, you will assemble the frame bracket and light bracket on left and right support by yourself. The middle bracket will come assembled due to the design requirements. All you need to do is to attache the light. Rennlisters who ordered just the backup lights option will have the middle bracket without the option to put in the light. It will look like just like the side bracket without the need to assemble it.

Thanks!
Andrew

Why it took so long to design and develop the brackets?

I needed them to be reversible, reusable in different light setups and to be strong enough. Several print tests were done and the brackets were run through stress software. Ones you will receive are the strongest, most tightly fitting brackets I was able to build with resources on hand. The brackets are assembled with 3M plastic adhesive. I tried to break them once the blue set and wasn't able to do it by hands.

Thanks!
Andrew

Great job Andrew, things always take longer than expected. I think it was a super quick process from inception.

If someone will be taking over this project for new, future orders (and it seems that way), can you please pm me on how to proceed?

Thank you and again, great work SausageCat!

I don't think he wants to PM everyone how to proceed. It's obvious. PM him if you want to pick up on this project where he left off. Sorry, but it's the same thing every page of this thread. Whoever wants to continue this project will contact him and should probably start a new thread focused on this project.

I'm not asking SausageCat to PM me. I have already PMd him.

I'm asking whomever may be responsible for making these in the future to PM me because I'm interested.

Showing interest for a potential, readily available product might instigate someone to pick up the project when SausageCat is done with this batch.

Ok cool. I mis-understood your post then. Thought you were like the 10th person to ask him to PM you. My bad.

Hi all, a friendly Rennlister with promising production capabilities has come forward to take over the project. To respect privacy I will leave it up to him to announce it here.

Thanks!
Andrew
