Default Bob Watson - Dyno Day

Thought I'd share a few vids from yesterday. It was a great event with a range of cars from a 968CS, plenty of 964s inc. a few RSs, some serious 993 activity inc. a 2wd turbo tweaked by fernsport, and a GT3 Cup car.

Big thanks to Bob and his team plus Porsche Club GB and the caterers

intrigued; above the engine lid is it a fan... blowing or sucking air ?

So, figures for the videos posted are, in order

327bhp

413bhp

Just under 300bhp

Are those figures at the rear wheel? (actual brake hp)

How was the 300 bhp 964 modified?

Thx

AFAIK, British dynos measure drivetrain losses on coast-down, so the figure is supposed to be corrected to be an estimate of crank hp, not wheel-hp as we would know it.

As above , the only thing I'd add is that I had to put the primary silencer back in place of the cup pipe that was in place for the live remap , so probably lost a bit of the original power there .

Reason for this was to comply with noise regs at UK circuits , which is where I use the car......its still quick enough to trouble my driving skill

Awesome. Thanks for sharing Mark

Some nice power being put out there by the two 964s.

Can't wait to see your car on track Mark, at Spa next year (and Frank's of course)....
