How many CAB owners use the boot cover?
How many of you use the boot when the top is down? I do most of the time if I know I'll be on the highway.

I leave the top down with boot most of the summer, car cover while in the garage to keep the dust off.

Systematically when I know I may get out of town.
It is very easy to find oneself driving at 150 kph in Germany. And not using the cover at that speed is not a good idea.

I use it most of the time. My top usually stays done 6 or so months at a time. I actually put it up last week when i go caught in the rain but after drying it out back down it went probably until December.

I also always use it when the top is down. It's easy to snap on and I think it improves the cars lines compared to the uncovered folded top.
How many of you unzip the rear window before you lower your top?

If the top is down, the boot is on! The car looks much better with the boot installed.

I've never unzipped my window for fear of it being 21 years old and breaking. The dealer I bought the car from had the rear window replaced in March before I bought it. I can't remember what he said it cost but it struck me as being very inexpensive to have done.

The RS owner bought it a month ago and had an interesting story about buying it from a guy who had left it outside in his backyard for over a year without driving it. Lots of mold everywhere and there are some electrical issues, but he's getting it sorted out.

I don't unzip the window when I put the top down. Used to, but it's really a pain. If it creases, all you have to do is leave it in the sun zipped, and the plastic warms up enough to get rid of any lines.

Always, as when I purchased the car the prior owner had not used the boot cover and the interior liner on the top was wind beaten, and ripped/torn in small places. I drive the car with the top down a lot, but when I park in the garage I always put the top back up. I also unzip the window and put a cotton cloth over the window plastic before I lower the top.
