Where to get new CCU Denso rear fan?

Hi guys, I'm visiting from 993 land. My CCU fan went kerputt. It would spin, but slowly, only after a nudge. Following up on the alternate parts mentioned in this thread, some internet search uncovered the following Denso part numbers: 173000-0xxx
-0410 Porsche 964.659.148.00
-790 Chevrolet
-0691 Audi A8 1994-98
-0860 Honda CR-V (european only?)
-0741 LandRover Discovery
-0770 Jaguar XJ8 1998-03
-0632 Chrysler 300M, Intrepid, Concorde
I did a trip to my U-Pull-It and found a -0632 in an Intrepid. They charged me a princely $2.99. Once home I needed to solder the short wiring harness (two wires) from my Porsche unit to the Intrepid unit, and then assemble with the Porsche fan and back squirrel cage housing. The fans actually looked to be identical. It is back together and running fine.
Of note, the Intrepid electronics had a larger wire coil, so perhaps has stronger EMF. Also, one should be able to see some axial "bounce" as the fan comes to a halt. On my original unit I did not see this, but do so with the Intrepid electronics and my original fan, as well as with the Intrepid fan.
Hope this helps someone else!

That is great info. I noticed on my search a couple years ago that it was on other cars also. I ended up buying it new for $200+ somewhere. My targa that I put my old cars motor in has a good unit so it is nice that I have a spare CCU with a new fan. I figure great to have for testing and replacement.

Greg - I replaced my CCU fan with a LandRover unit. Its been working very well. I posted about it in a different thread. I'll try to find it.

Reviving this older thread because it was super helpful in fixing the CCU fan on my '96 993. I bought both a used 173000-0770 and a used 173000-0731 off of ebay (both advertised for a Jag XK8). The plastic ducting on the -0770 is reversed, and so is only good if you can swap the black plastic ducting from your OEM part to the new motor. The -0731 that I bought later, however, is a straight-across swap - all I had to do was solder the Porsche connector plug onto the new fan's leads. Thanks for the info in this thread (and this one)!
