Differences between '95 993 intake and 964's with plastic intakes?

Differences between '95 993 intake and 964's with plastic intakes?
I'm currently searching for a complete intake system in order to go back to naturally aspirated. The car is a 90 with a TPC S/C currently installed.
Aside from the maf in the 1995 993 intake and the airbox, are there any other differences?
There seem to be less hoses between the left and right plastic intakes and around the throttle body.
Is the throttle body the same in the '95 993?
The one from the 993 seems to have a cleaner/simpler look/design.
Can I include the one from the '95 993 in my search for an intake?
This is not a "can I get more hp from this change" question.
I currently don't have the original intake, so I'm looking to acquire one.
If the one from a '95 will work, then it just increases my chances of finding one.

Other than the things you mentioned.
The intake runners and stacks are ever so slightly bigger for the 993 than the 964. Just have to use extra care when mounting the stacks so they are centered on the port because the are not exactly the same size.
And even if it's a 964 intake you do want the plastic one, not the big aluminum heat sink.

This may have already been addressed, but be aware that throttle bodies are different on the manual & tiptronic cars. The manual cars have a cam on the end of the throttle plate pivot rod that actuates the w.o.t. switch. The tip cars have a throttle position sensor on them with a 6 pin connector. The tip throttle position sensor & the manual w.o.t. throttle switch are not interchangable. You will need the correct throttle body for your application.

This may have already been addressed, but be aware that throttle bodies are different on the manual & tiptronic cars. So if I run across one that's from a manual (as mine is), it should work then?
The air box is also shaped a bit differently, any idea if it will fit in a 964?

As far as I know, the 95 manual throttle body will work. Getting the correct one should not be too difficult if the intake you get is from a tip car. I needed a tip throttle body for my car, found lots of manual ones cheap, was much harder for me to get a tip one.

After some further searching, apparently the throttle body on the 993 uses a potentiometer and the 964's use the idle and WOT micro switches. Not exactly a plug and play install on a '90 using a stock DME, or is it a simple matter of removing the potentiometer and replacing it with the micro switches.
Can anyone confirm this?

The plastic manifolds are pretty much the same mouldings but there are a lot of detail differences with the anciliary parts:
964 manual, 964 Tiptronic and 993 all have unique throttle bodies, all fit the same cross tube. You cannot easily convert the 993 from the TPS (potentiometer) to the 964 idle/WOT switches, however if you find someone looking to fit Motec on a 964 do them an exchange deal for the 993 throttle because Motec will run better with a TPS.
The idle valves are different. 993 has a 3 wire push/pull valve, 964 has a 2 wire pull/spring return valve. Valves are not dorectly interchangeable, 964 has smaller diameter pipes.
Breather pipes are different.
Rubber air feed pipe to TB is different.
If I remember correctly, vacuum actuator for resonance flap is different. One is vacuum open, one is vacuum closed, can't remember which is which.
Bracket for vacuum actuators are different, 964 has a support for the fuel pressure regulator.
Need I go on? Best plan is to buy a complete 964 system since the throttle body alone will cost you $500 new from Porsche......
