Hi Thilo,
I realise your disappointment, I suppose with everything you removed the car must feel more agile and steer quicker , I suppose the only way to see it in a possitive way is to sum up all the weight saved.
Your bias balance from the scale looks very good !
Very inspiring .
I am doing the corner balance geometry in a week time .

Thilo are those scales checked? I remember your car being ±1200?! The scale I used is verified for the balance of perf testing .. but per the pic it is due for a checkup. Hmmm.

theoretically ~1200 with empty fuel tank... so round about 1260 with fuel like it was during the last meassurement..
I do not know, if the two previous scales have been such wrong or the current one but i guess, the previous ones were not 100% correct and i was to optimistic with my weight reduction math...

well I've got CF seats, aircon and maybe another 10kg of peripheral deletes, rear seats & belts and sunroof deleted, radio and light weight front mats, BBS LMs, LWFW and RS clutch, no spare or frunk carpet ... with little under a qtr tank I am at 1300kg ... seems weird compared to your more extensive list of lightening. (oh yes also removed rear bumper (primary?) muffler)

carbon hood/bonnet, bucket seats, rennline lower dash, no airbargs, AC removed, no stereo, RS door cards, euro RS thin rear glas, no sound insulation anymore (inside nor in the engine bay), bumper beam removed, no spare wheel nor anything else in the trunk, carbon undertray (everything underneath is carbon, 2kg lifepo battery, lightweight starter, RS lwfw with gt3 clutch, 993 RS alloy topmounts, RS thin carpet, cup floor boards.

The good news ist: i am absolutely sure, that i just remove ~40kg over the winter (CFK bonnet/hood), deletion bumper beam, manual steering conversion and sub 12kg at the wheels... the difference at the track should be noticable...

Yes it really does make it interesting feel wise ... I have just added big reds to white C2 and front end feels heavier for sure!

Will check on corner weight scales in the next few weeks .. still a bit puzzled.

to get in a better mood, i went to the ring yesterday with my daily and had some fun....

Remembered me, that a pagid/endless staffed Porsche RS brake has a different kind of reliability than a stock cooper brake with cheap aftermarket pads :-)

i did the corner weighting today ... scales still show 1300 kg (ex the full tank and driver seat ballast) ... is 42%/58% the most you can get the front/rear distrib on a C4? Its not possible with the 996Cup to get upto 40% (but obv no front diff etc..)

Looks really good. What did you use to clean off the glue or did you blast interior?

a cleaner, made from oranges... it is poison and quite hard to everything. In the end needed it 35h of work to get rid of the glue!

Nice job. Did you paint the interior exposed panels? If so, how did you do it?
