1 5/8" 3.0 headers fit on 3.6?

1 5/8" 3.0 headers fit on 3.6?
Would a pair of 1 5/8" diameter primary headers both:
A.) Fit and even more importantly...
B.) Be an upgrade to the stock manifolds with heat
Currently running a G pipe and was wondering if they'd be an upgrade or not since it's for the smaller 3.0L
My 3.6 is non turbo as well...
