Default Black spots in rear of the car

Reciently I found black spots in the engine lid and rear bumper, I suspect an oil leak, even if oil use is in the normal range
Unluckily I canīt get my mechanic to check my car yet (as the only good independent Porsche mechanic in Buenos Aires his shop is always full)

Have any of you had a similar experience with your car? can you share what kind of leak you had when this happened?

Have a close look at the power-steering hose on the right side (near the oil filter).

Yeah, I'm w/ Anto- I had exactly this issue and also the short molded PS hose was leaking. I replaced it and now no leak but not enough miles yet to know for sure my spots weren't also engine oil (and I do have those leaks too...)

Probably doesn't require a trip to the mechanic to verify the PS hose, as it is easy to spot / identify. In the engine bay on the right side of the car, small clear tank with a yellow lid - probably partially full of red fluid.

The usual suspect is the short hose leading right out the bottom of the tank. At least in my case this was visibly wet, with PS fluid pooling below it. Easy DIY fix also, should it be the source of the leak. Cheap part on pelican and a few hose clamps are all you need.

I had those exact spot locations when I was leaking oil from my cam box triangular gasket (gap between the cam box and the engine block). Needed to remove the cam chain and timing gear to get to it.

In my case I only needed a new hose clamp to stop the power steering fluid leak....black also means the fluid is probably original to car and should be replaced.

When I had this, it was because of a slight leak from the oil pressure sensor (not fully seated after it was changed).
