Default 1992 Porsche Carrera RS Club Sport (M003 Competition)

Love to hear the expert commentary on this car listed on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...ht_1161wt_1124

1992 Porsche Carrera RS Club Sport (M003 Competition)

Rare 1992 Carrera RS Clubsport (M003) Competition version -- also known as a Club Sport. Of the 2,282 Carrera RS cars produced in 1992, only 290 were M003 versions, and only 3 were known to be painted in Ferrari Yellow and this is one of those three cars (see picture of the original "FerrariGelb" paint code decal under the hood.)

NOTE: Do not pay attention to the "1980" year noted in the auction listing fields as this car has a European VIN# and eBay would not recognize it. This is a real 1992 (only production year for 964 RS Club Sport).

I saw this car advertised a few years back, also out of Texas. It cannot be titled in the US for street use, at least not currently, so it really has a narrow use field for now. Maybe a good investment for the future, as they will start allowing import into US at some point, maybe 2017 ish.

Great looking car with all the right DNA!

A good friend of mine has a maritime NGT 964RS (or clubsport or M003 as otherwise known). It is like a 964RS on steroids. Absolutely awful on the road (they are legal for road use in Europe) but an absolute joy on the track. It is a car that gives sensation overload. I love it!

M003 are comfortable on the road compared to a Cup! It skips off the cats eyes and any small bumps.

Even 50mph is a challenge!

Agree 100% that the cup is even more full on!

Had a track ride in one a couple of weeks ago. An absolute joy but it was all too short lived as the driver had to stop to serve some ice creams to get some more petrol money.

looks like a solid buy at 99k actually. provided everything is there which from this seller should be. It would be a pita to federalize for the road though if that was your inclination though since you would need to do the full deal on it.

Does it have the Al hood? Pretty sure I saw this listed for $90k recently. Nice to have the Speedline 3.6 for that price. So the question is, this car, or a Euro 964 Cup with full racing provenance for the same or less $$$ ? I vote Cup.

If that is Chris W's car then thats my old car. Its actually very good on the road as I had brand new Genuine Cup front dampers fitted and new rear dampers (full suspension renewal) which have much better rebound function. The cars feel great as the suspension is worked properly due to the rigidity of the shell.

The sound inside is intoxicating to say the least.

Fantastic cars!!!

Yes, one and the same and you'll be pleased to know that it's going as strong as ever.
