Best way, possibly cost effective too, to reset adaptation

I had the amateur/enthusiast cables and could get to the C4 lock activation on both versions 5 and 6. I could not get to alarm or Airbags. My wrench had the pro cables and version 5 and could get to alarm and airbags but not C4 locks, it just wouldn't connect to PDAS module for him. Same thing I got for Airbag/Alarm.
C4 locks is officially supported in both ver. 5 and 6

yes, interestingly, if you search here, the clock is often the culprit w the airbag light. apparently soldering fixes it.

then you don't need to worry about C4 lock bleeds. The OBD1 scantool should be all you need. That or a local friend to do it for you.

I know I am missing something as I am in a hurry heading out the door and not seeing something. I have a 90 964 C2 and have the airbag and seatbelt light on and need to get the lights off can I get the plug from Tore and download the software and be done if not I will be getting Toms Scan Tool seems like this may be the way to go ....... What you think is best for my needs. If can just get the 19 pin plug and the software then that is it but if not there is green going Toms way....

Burning Brakes
Does the PDT999 set the adaptation after the battery has been out of the car for a few days?

Burning Brakes
Yes, it does adaptation and in fact it does everything the Hammer does and in most practical ways is better as it is powered by car and does not require batteries..its not cheap-but lots cheaper than Bosch "hammer"

To answer RW964's question: the 19 pin plug and OBD interface from Tore and the scantool software were all that I needed to clear my airbag/seatbelt lights. I have a c4 and it would be nice if the software could open the diff locks, but the price is right for the other functions including idle adaptation ($85+$30).
