Great Shop in the MD/VA area
All,
I recently had TPC Racing (http://www.tpcracing.com/) do some work on my 90 C4 and they did an exceptional job. Mike the owner and Tom the shop manager are top notch. If you live in the area and you're looking for a great independent shop to do any work, go visit these guys; they know Porsche inside and out. You know you're in good hands when they have a full blown race 911 on the lobby floor.
Regards,
Dave

I think their prices are in line with other independent shops, but Mike the owner knows these cars inside and out. Just fyi, he didn't charge me for the lengthy time invested to go through my wiring harness (bad ABS brain).
As for the work: they did brakes, rotors and shocks all around, did all the fluids, filter, etc.; diagnosed the bad ABS brain and I'm going back in the spring to have them do the plugs and wires.

me too raven me too. I'll def. go there if I ever get around to parting with my boat savings nest egg. Never had work done with the guys at ATspeed, but I love the show they put on every fall. Really well done and lots of fun.

FWIW, there are lots of good Porsche independents in the Washington, D.C.-Northern Virginia-Maryland area. Among them: Chapman Auto Werks, AtSpeed, TPC, ASG, Autothority, Curry's, Autobahn, Matt de Maria at Stuttgart Performance, RPM, IMA and Intersport.

Good to know Richard, thanks for the info! And Bmohr, I will have to check that out in the Fall. Anyone going to the MT Auto Show here in Baltimore next week? The wife and I are planning on it and I'd like the chance to see some other 64s' there..

TPC is an amazing place with the owner racing 911's in all sorts of places such as Rolex series. They work on doing turbo set ups for boxters, custom made intercoolers for 996/997 and they know these cars in and out.

..And they do simple maintenance stuff as well: fluid changes, brakes, plugs, etc..
