I guess I'm not in. I'd be interested in the more basic 'top' one, the SB6190.

If this is only 50% committed this far into the game, I am sorry to say this GB is likely not to happen. Usually they either build up quickly and become a go, or the linger.

Cheers,

Mike

Had the basic 2 pt model been included, I might have been in, depending on shipping cost to Canada.

Where are you in the big white north? I am in Vancouver, we could piggyback. I usually ship to the border and clear customs myself - saves the stilly brokerage fees that UPS and those boys like. You can also get is shipped via USPS, for some reason just about everything goes through there duty and tax free.

Cheers,

Mike

Good thought, but I'm way over on the other end...about a 5 hour flight. Agree with you about UPS vs USPS, I've had similar experiences. With UPS though, you can call them up and tell them you want to clear customs yourself. You pick up papers at UPS, go to Customs and pay whatever (less the brokerage), go back to UPS with stamped papers and pick up package. A bit of a hassle and you need a Customs office nearby, but it can pay off big in brokerage savings.

Back to the topic, the bar I would consider (the SB6190) isn't part of the GB, so it's 'moot' as they say.

I was planning on modifying the 3 point into a 2 point ( if I didn't like the looks) because I like the 3 point mount better. I think all it needs is a different bolt or sleeve. I have a lathe to make this mod work, whatever it takes.

I'd go either way on the GB...3 or 2 point mount however.

The 2 point IS part of the group buy. I got this to be so flexible. Group buy is for either 3 OR 2 point for the 964, the 993 AND the 996.

But it's NOT for the 2 point model I would consider....see posts #14 & #15 of this thread.
