It is a '94 C2, yes it is a new flywheel.

That seems like a good compromise. Are the flywheel (and corresponding no-rubber-center clutches) readily available?

I think Pelican has them for about $450, we got mine through the dealer, I believe. Sometime the dealer can be cheaper.

IME Sunset usually beats Pelican on OE Porsche parts.

Can an 89 flywheel be used in a later c4 as a drop in replacement with no further modification?

I found the reference to the '89 flywheel in Adrians Streather's book and asked my guys about it and so it goes. In the book it does not give step by step so best to check with your shop that would be doing the work.

Kaib, you sure have a nice project underway. Yes, the gear chart for the 6 speed puts a grin on my face while I wait for the car to be ready. It was a bone stock C2 so it has a few updates coming as well as the box.

I had an RS LWF installed a few years back and while I did not find it a total transformation it is definitely an improvement. I am one of the lucky few that has no stalling issues without using any counter measures. It is otherwise completely stock.
