964 America Roadster...965?
Ok I am just gonna throw this out there and see what info I get back...
I have a 1992 America Roadster and it is classified as a 964 although to my knowledge all parts except the non turbo motor are 965. This was spurred up because I am looking to lower the vehicle and I believe I already have the 965 tubo springs and I figure that I will need to spec out the next set of springs and dampers for a 965 fitment and not a 964... teach me please.

Springs and shocks (dampers as you call them) depend on your desire. You can use any of the options on your car if you decide you want a softer ride you can go with eibachs or H&R greens although I wouldn't recommend it. If you like stiffer the H&R reds would be better suited or you can go with K&W, H&R club sport, I believe Elephant racing is coming out with a new system and there are many other choices. The only difference in what can be used is the 93-94 turbo requires front struts as used on the 993TT since they use a different sized bolt for the top of the two used to mount to the carrier but a good mechanic can modify any of the other equipment to work on a 94 3.6 T if needed.

So that clears that up, 965 is just a "slang" term used for the turbo borrowed from part numbers; they are all 964's be it turbo look, turbo, carrara 2, and so on. Thanks for the info.
Thanks 4re308, I feel very blessed to be fortunate enough to enjoy this Porsche.
