Normal 95 RON. No need to put in super unless you have a chip fitted that needs it.

Don't use the E95-10 Ethanol stuff or whatever it's called though as that's for much newer cars.

Hi

I have a 993 and I used to only put the 95 stuff in on principal (Cheap) I'd get 275 a tank mixed motorway and city.

But strangely with the expensive 97 super plus whatever I'm getting around 330 a tank..........

We really need to address fuel prices here in the UK it's becoming a farce

Yeah, tell me about it. I was home visiting my parents a couple of weeks ago and it was about £85 to fill up. I remember when it was about £45!! Here in France it's about 85€ to fill up so a bit cheaper, but not much.

Call me mad, but ive always put Optimax (or at least super unleaded if I cant get that) in the 964. Its bog standard engine wise.

I think its because my last 2 cars had to be run on it due to mapping, and I just feel it runs better!

Probably just in my head though

I know my 964 runs perfectly with 95, but as a precaution I usually fill with 97 or 98 octanes, the price difference per liter here is 28 U$S cts. so I am only missing a 21 U$S saving per full tank (77 lts) not much really if you consider I don´t fill it more than once a month
