Default Brake parts

Hi, going to the US in a few weeks and thinking of ordering some brake parts (rotors, pads, calipper service kit) to my hotel in St Joseph Missouri. Which webshop should i purchase from? Pelican parts? And which rotors and pads do you recommend? Got standard C2 calippers..

Thanks

There are a lot of brake pad options. Tell us how you use your car. Street, autocross, DE, racing? Also, there are two different versions of the C2 rear caliper. The early cars (90-91) have two pistons and the later cars have four piston versions from the C4.

Sorry, forgot about that hehe. Used as a daily driver in the summertime, only road and some agressive cross country driving..

I like the OEM Textars except for a lot of dust. Others are happy with Metal Masters which generate little dust.

I would go with some street pads then such as the textars or metal masters. As for where to buy them? There are a number of good suppliers. You could check the Rennlist sponsor list. For what its worth, I buy my parts from Engine Builders Supply (www.ebsracing.com). They offer great service.

And it is a 90 C2 Cab so got the 2 pistons version. Do the fronts also only have 2 pistons or is it only the rear ones?

Okay, checking out ebs now, considering the Sebro drilled sport discs and the textar pads. Does this sound as a good combo? $521..

The C2 fronts have 4 pistons. If you are using the car as a street driver, I would stick with stock rotors. Not sure you would get any benefit from the extra cost of the drilled rotors unless you like the look. I drive my C2 at DE events a few times a year. The stock rotors are sufficient for those. IMHO

I'd recommend you stick with stock rotors and Textar pads. It's the cheapest alternative and gives you the best balance and performance for street driving.
