would that be a "smokin" deal, not a screamin deal?

I think the reason engine refreshes don't is that a good running engine is just "meets requirements" for a prospective buyer; whether it's always been that way or some one just spent $10+K to get it that way......Overall car condition, mileage, service records, etc. are much more important.

I also think some buyers wonder why was a relatively low mileage engine rebuilt in the first place, was it abused, etc. (I'm not implying that's the case here, just making a general observation.) It also opens the question of who did the work, their reputation, etc.

The PO had the engine redone because of the cylinder head leakage. That mod has been done and now nobody has to worry about that. I know that some leak and some never do. This one did and so it was rebuilt at that time.

BearClaw... Thanks for the kind words!

Could be... I tend to reserve that term for cars at the other end of the spectrum, as in, "You bought that?!!!
What the hell were you smokin'?!!!"

26 seems reasonable... it looks like a nice - to say the least - example.

Put it up and you can always drop if needs be.

Sure there's nothing else you can sell i.o. the 964?

Rick, I've forwarded this thread to Mark (the fellow I mentioned in the new "seeking" post).

I will also follow up. This could be the right car for him.

If you like the cosmetic mods, this would be a wonderful car to purchase. Nice job.

Not to burst your bubble or be called a basher, but you can see a fellow rennlister bought my black 964 to CO and lets just say he paid low 20's. very similar condition and my motor was completely rebuiilt at 39k and had 53k when sold.
he has posted pics. I hope you get what you want but in my opinion you will be probably looking at anywhere from 20k-23k.
