Well, this speaks directly to my worst nightmare. I dump a bunch of money into an awesome Porsche, Get it running great, sell it at tremendous loss....and the next guy drives it worry free for ten years.

Sorry you need to sell your car.

Do you want to buy mine for 3 months? I'd love to see all of the repairs/updates you would do to it. I'd be happy to buy it back afterwards for the same cost.

The number "24,000" keeps playing in my mind, like a familiar song...

Sorry for the joke. I didn't intend to be mean. I mean that the new buyer is getting an awesome deal.

Just curious why did you need so much engine work done to a car with only 80,000 miles on it. I agree with Pauily you should hold out for more cash from the right buyer.

"So many oil leaks that the engine had to be rebuilt and re-sealed.
Pistons and rings - shot
Flywheel - shot"
Maybe a second opinion was in order.
Just saying
Guy good luck with the sale.

To bad to hear this... but why are you really selling?

"Too much into this car" is a reason not to sell... at least enjoy some of the money you put into it.

Fwiw she looks great in the picture!

guy instead of taking a huge loss you should bite the bullet and realise the car is finished and correct. you won't actually lose anything if you KEEP IT...think of it this way...you got a (pretty much) new car for still under what a new one costs.

My advice? relax and enjoy the car. you didn't buy it to make money anyway...you may have had to spend a bit to make it right...BUT NOW IT IS!!!!

walk yourself out to the driveway and really look at the car...makes you smile doesn't it?....how well would you sleep at night knowing some dude just paid HALF of the money you put into it and he is enjoying it and you aren't?

buck up buttercup....hold your head high and drive it
