Default Help please... tired of getting ripped off

I have a lot of work i need to do on my 964's and dont have time to go thru it myself. Unfortunately every time i give one of my cars to a mechanic, i get totally screwed over on service and quality of work. I dont really want to name and shame as i would think im partially responsible for not spending the time to source the best 964 specialist in the region before.

The list of things to do are vaired and for the large part reasonably simple.. Varying from engine mechanical, brakes, external cosmetics, internal cosmetics.

Im based in Manhattan NY, so long island, jersey, CT are all close enough as options..

I know i havent been very specific about the various issues i need addressed but any hints or advice on good shops that people have had good experience with would be very much appreciated..

If you can make it up to Danbury I think Spencer *** might still work on Air Cooled cars.

There are numerous shops that can work on 964s in that area and someone from that neighborhood will chime in shortly -

If you send a PM to hoboken56 and he can send you in the right direction

Euromotors of Garwood - 908 232-1783

No affiliation other than being a very satisfied customer for 6 years. Is that an oxymoron?

All good shops although I would add Protosport in Pompton Plains 973-839-5353 tell Paul Anthony with the cobalt 94 turbo sent you and if he doesn't follow through let me know I will have word with him.

I have sent countless number of people to him with the same concerns and never have I heard anything but praise. He also works on all my cars.

BTW it would appear you like 964's nice collection of cars.

BTW i would call him early next week we will all be at Watkins Glen starting Thursday

No affiliation just a satisfied customer

Rick Modlinski @ CIM in Central Valley (Woodbury Commons Outlet Mall)
Cheech @ Rennwerke in Elmsford (just north off Henry Hudson)

Both are great guys, Rick is less expensive and he's been my mechanic for 5 years now and I don't mind driving the extra distance - about 40 miles.
Cheech - I've known for a short time and has an awesome shop, impeccably clean. Just like the guy too...
