Value of my 1990 964 Cabrio wide body
Hi everyone. I am selling my 1990 cabrio and I am not sure what a fair price would be. The spec's are:
1990 Porsche 911 Convertible - Wide body - Turbo Look conversion - done in steel over 10-years ago.
NO RUST
Black Paint and top
Tan interior thats in above average condition
80,000 original on body
Engine complete rebuild - zero miles
New alternator
5-speed manual
Never hot rodded or tracked
Speedline 18x11 rear and 18x9 front
New tires (Bridgstone Potenza)
Corners like its on rails
New Pioneer stereo (front speakers only)
New breaks - rotors and calipers
New Clutch
New Sparco Ring steering wheel (have original air bag wheel in excellent condition as well)
Convertible top's condition is strong but the plastic rear window does have some clarity issues due to age. The color of the top is not faded.
It is a VERY well maintained classic 911 and one of the last air cooled Porsches.
It has been maintained by Foreign Exchange in Dayton for years and the owner wouldn't hesitate to provide his stamp of approval.
What would a fair asking price be? Any input would be greatly apreciated. Thank you!

1990 -1 91 and newer are the prefered cars.
widebody conversion -1 Probably doesn't add anything to the value. How far did the convert go?
Cab -1 coupes just bring more
No rust +1
Lower miles +1
Rebuilt motor (if by reputable shop) +1
Alt okay
5spd +1
Hot rodded or track - how is anyone to know?
New Tires okay
New clutch +1 DMF?
New Brakes Factory Zimmerman rotors Pads?
Everthing works?
No missing guage lamps?
No windshield frame rust?
Factory up dates?
AC?
Yean probably around the 20K + or - and agreed to the "right" buyer> someone who wants a cab and okay with a converted car. Some people just are not okay with a converted car for whatever reason.
Personally I would rather have a stock NB than a converted car.

Non-stock tailpipe or non-stock exhaust? Something doesn't look quite right there.
Are the wheels pushed out with spacers or offset, or were widebody suspension changes made too?
Interior pics? Records?
Mentioning who did the conversion work and the engine build and their credentials would probably help prospective buyers. Like the wide-body look, but wow, that is a big wing.
Good luck!

Seriously, as mentioned, the scope and quality of the conversion makes a lot of difference here - to someone who is specifically a conversion buyer. But you may have a stoke of luck and find a buyer who really likes the look and doesn't necessarily care about the pedigree. Hope for that. Low $20K's would be a feel-good price. Conversions ain't my cup of meat, but I think there is a constituency out there for them. Be prepared to wait it out it out for a decent price.
I just noticed: that's a a really big wing on there. Seen those before on here. Anything bigger than a whale tail doesn't do it for me. But a conversion buyer might just like it.

I love the look of the car, except for the HUGE wing. It needs a rear spoiler, but nothing that huge. The conversion would put me off. Way way off. I'll take a stock NB all day long. If it was a factory WB, that would be a whole different story. $20,000 sounds high to me, but it is probably right considering the mileage and the fact that the motor has been recently redone.
