SPLITTER and CUP mirror questions
The car has just gone into the body shop to have a couple of things done, while it's there I'd like to get hold of the following parts,
1. A front splitter, preferably the 3.8 Splitter
2. A set of Cup mirrors, also are these mirrors manually operator and how do they attach?
3. A set of brake ducts.
Being based in the UK I'd rather buy them here to avoid long delays and postage fees.
I know of most the usual places to find them ( FVD, Porscheshop, design911 ) but could anyone chime in with some alternative hopefully cheaper sources?
Pictures attached.
Thanks in advance.

The mirrors are very manual. You glue them to the small glass on the door so you have to weld up the old holes on the outer door skin. If you have plastic windows you can strengthen the fastening by using screws and glue. These mirrors have rather poor visability though even if they look cool.

How does one adjust the mirrors, by hand by pushing the mirrors to the right angles?
Thanks

The first car is my old 964 C4, I got the splitter from rennspeed. It is made of fiberglass and is an easy fit. You will have to manipulate it by sanding it down a bit to contour the body. You can then get the rubber moulding from pelican which is used on your rocker panels, this will prevent it from rubbing and scratching the body.

I only race the car. The driver side mirror works fine (just lucky). The passenger mirror is worthless. However, I have a racing wink mirror so I can see everything.
Possibly, the aftermarket mirrors are adjustable. I have no idea.

From the feedback I've read here and from Jeff Gamroth of Rothsport (a well respected racer and p-car guru) the mirrors are effectively useless anyway due to their size/shape. You may want to find someone locally that has these prior to purchase and installation.

I had these 935 style mirrors on my faux IROC/RSR back in the early '80s. Absolutely useless. Also had the Wink mirror inside, when they were a new phenomenon and all the rage. That's what gave me rear vision.

Don't bother. They're utterly hopeless in my experience, a definite case of form over function.

Thanks for all the advise re: mirrors, thankfully the shop hadn't started taking them off......
Thing is my car is already very low, won't a splitter make the front end too low to go over speed bumps?

It may I have the same splitter and my car is lowered with h&r green springs. I can go over speed bumps just fine, but I did mess one up on a driveway with a curbed entrance.
