Default For those who thought all of Texas was flat...

Pics from my Easter Sunday drive through the Texas Hill Country to the Frio River, near Utopia (and it nearly is), Texas. Actual location is between Leaky and Vanderpool.

Lots of twisty two lane and great fun if you can avoid the motorcycle racers. You can see the narrow skid marks on most of the tight corners (some at 20mph, literally) heading straight into the guard rails.Highway Department warning sign as you begin this section announces10 motorcycle deaths in recent years.

Not all of Texas is flat with endless straight roads.

Yes, I call those hills. I guess everything is relative, and those are pretty damn big hills compared to the part of Texas where I grew up.....

Hey altarchsa we head over to the hill country a couple of times a year get a room over in San Marcus and ride the hill country or stay at the Derose Inn by Garner State Park "bikes only" but we are going to take the C2 this time I will look you up and we can tear up the roads this time with out worring about road rash and burned leathers.

Its not how big or small the hill or curve is its how fast you can get around it !!!!!!

Looks like the chaparral hills of southern/central CA.

(-a lot more if CA had armadillos.)
