Default Another 911

If you could have another 911, what would it be?

An older, pre-impact bumper 911:

Or a newer 997 GT3?

Tough, isn't it, since we already have the best of both worlds in the 964.....

I had an early car (73E), so the GT3 would be my choice.

I've had 3.0 and 3.2L cars, have no interest in anything H2O cooled and really want....

Jack Olsen's RSR clone!!!

Black Beauty would be a good choice This is what made me sell my 993 and start looking for a 964 to backdate. After I got the 964 I fell in love with it and now I am not sure I will backdate it.

When I get another pCar it will be a 993 Targa, 997.2 cab, or a tricked out 914.

A 993 GT2 perhaps. Jack Olsens car would certainly do the trick too...

For me it would have to be the 996GT3RS over the later generations because like the 964, it's free of the modern PSM and PASM trickery. A true driving experience is about man and machine together, not just about how fast it can go (hence why I would choose the 996 over the faster 997 versions).

As a second 911, I'd love a GT3...it's one of the best 911 ever made and proves the 911 hasn't gone soft after all these years. Plus, the sound it makes at 8,000+ RPM...glorious! BUT, at the end of the day you really can't use all that speed on public roads so it would probably feel too refined and contained. Compared to the air cooled cars, it's so big also.

Though old, the 964 can still admirably provide 95% of the modern comforts the 997 offers (most importantly, cool AC!) so I really wouldn't want a newer car...

I'd love a R Gruppe type car. Something in a bright color and with flares...and lots of stripped-down, race car features.

I would have two: a 911 S from the seventies (similar to Steve MacQueen´s) and a 997 C2S (or C4S if I´m getting too old)

An older car would be awfully tempting, and I like 993s but I would have to go with a GT3 RSR
