Default Seeking opinions on rollbar color for Claudia

Claudia (red RSA) will get a roll bar. I'm flopping on color for it, and ask here for your opinions.

Red
White
or...an off white (like antique white or Ivory)...I thought this might be tasty and then number panels could be done in the same tone.

What say you?

Please help; it's Friday and I'm lonely out here...

I'd ask in the Racing forum, but would get answers like:

"Paint it flat out"
"Paint it Raptor green"
"Spend the money on DE"
"..."

or...

"Bell or Stand 21"

I did mine in satin black, I like it. It was pretty before I put the padding on, now it mostly looks like padding and zip-ties...

I don't know if it can be done, but I love the look of the tequipment bar for the GT3. It's sort of a brushed stainless look that accents the bar but is not so loud like a body color bar.

Here's a few pics of mine

An RSA is a special car. My vote is go conservative and classy and in the long run you wil always be happier. Porsches should be modded as close as possible to how the factory does things. Search other RSA's or factory 964 cups and see what they did. I would bet a limb that u wil be happier in the long run.

i have a RED 964 and a black cage and for my taste this is the idel combination and it looks elegant, i would not go for red bars inside is not as "classy" to me.

That looks great Segi, very nice with the wheels and interior

Just to continue the discussion a little: I would still not want to follow the trend of other RSA owners etc or what is deemed to be correct, these car where produceed with pink and Yellow looked great on cars, bold is good. (mind you i wouldn't want the colours on my daily commuter car). Mine isn't a nice rare RSA so perhaps its different, but I will be going for Power or baby blue in mine when its done. sssh don't tell my wife

I have to agree with Unkle. While these are special little cars (relatively speaking), the book regarding what is "correct" for them has not yet been written - and may never be. Mine, for instance, may never see its stock form again and should be a (very) fine track/limited street beastie; but she'll still be pretty, I hope.

But not pink!

I have a red RSA with a black bar and I'd love to have it redone in either flat red or wrinkle someday.

What color are the wheels? Black bar and wheels is nice.
Gold wheels and bar would be cool!

I think that the colours should reflect what each individual wants. I have in the past spent enough time on VW vortex with my own Mk1 to see exactly what the "scene" requires you to do to meet a certain fashion or form. These cars were probably made to order to the own customers interior colour choice and spec, so if you wanted deep red, you got it! If you wanted cream leather with red piping, you got it! If you wanted blue leather on a white car, you got it! The customer chose what he wanted and not a form based on fashion (although a colour choice by a customer could be based on a socially acceptable trend at the time). but basically just get what YOU like.

If you like satin black (looks nice) go for it!
If you want gold (looks nice) go for it!
If you want white (looks nice)get it!

Just pick a colour based on what you want and not specifically on what might help to add $1000 to an RSA sale in a few years time. 20 964 cars at a show with all the same colours would be dull to me.

Saying all that i do agree with all the comments above, but like to share a possible alternative too

Going with red.

The Recaro Speed seats will have red stiching and labels and the 6pts are red also.

Wheel has a yellow stripe at zero degrees, but that is as it should be....
