Default Back on the Road

My car's been pretty much out of commission since Sept of 09 due to a number of issues and today I got it back on the road.

Just thought I'd share the good news with those who could better appreciate it.

Cheers

The braking, corners, and acceleration are always great to get back to.

Congrats!

Congrats Dave! I almost drove my car on Friday after the winter hibernation but I decided to wait until the salt laden snow banks melt a bit more. .

Thanks, guys.

It feels great to be back in it. Especially since it was my daily driver for 4.5 yrs.

Cheers!

Hey Ilko. How's that 993 treating you?

The Hershey meet sounds like fun. I've been wanting to go to one of these for a while now.

I'm in!

It's been treating me better than I've been treating it... Haven't driven it in 4 months - too much snow Upstate. Will be fun to see you and compare colors

Glad you're driving the car again! It must have been a magical movement when you pulled out of the driveway (with big mischievous grin on your face!)...

I had to laugh when I read the quote in your sig. "The hours a Porsche spends parked. You don't get those back."

Yes, it was a wonderful feeling. I had been chasing an ugly noise from the rear that made me shiver every time I thought about it. In the end, it was my spoiler worm gear drive mechanism that had separated after I had r&r'd it some years back. The smile, and feeling, following that discovery simply can't be reproduced!

Funny, that. I had thought of [re]quoting that in my post and commenting upon it, but, in the end, I decided to just let it go and enjoy the good feeling of being back behind the wheel.

These cars really get under your skin. Well, mine, at least.

Cheers
