Progress has been a touch slow due to various external factors. Will hopefully have an update within the next couple of weeks or so.

Cheers.

I can relate on doing the inside work. I just recently stripped down my interior to raw metal. It was a lot of work, but in the end it will be worth it. Im doing a similar project to yours. I have threads on other boards, but Im about to make one on here to document it. Best of luck on your build!

It's looking grim Steve. This thread has reminded me that the car has been at the bodyshop for over 3 months ! They're doing me a good deal so I can't complain Nothing much to report apart from the fact that the rear fender flares have been butt-welded on (should have some pics next week). Hopefully it will get painted soon. To cap things off, the rear wheels where sent off a couple of months ago to be rebuilt and there is no sign of them turning up anytime soon either !

Will probably be at Donington in my (t)rusty old E30 325i Touring I'll try my best not to get in anyones way

Realistically I think I'm looking at the end of season PCGB trackday at Oulton for this cars first outing.

Cheers.

Glad to hear that you've still got something to play with at Donington and look forward to seeing some more project pics

Been very slow going over the past few months but hopefully things should start to pickup within the next few weeks. Rear arches have been done - we decided to go with fender flares as it seemed a shame to cut out and refit a whole rear quarter since the bodywork was in such good condition:

Spot where it's been welded:

If you look very closely you can just make out a faint line - I couldn't spot it in the flesh until it was pointed out to me:

At the moment they've test fitted everything and they're now prepping it for paint.

I've also had the gearbox sent off to be rebuilt.

Cheers.

Finally got an update of sorts. Rear wheels have finally been rebuilt, ordered some Toyo R888's and so hopefully will have these test fitted within the next couple of weeks. Fingers crossed that they will fill the arches nicely:

Car has finally been painted - these photos don't do it justice since the pics where taken inside the workshop. Looks much darker in reality. Here are some tasters Will upload some better pics once the rear wheels are on and all the exterior bits have been fitted:
