static current drain on fuse #1 and #12

Good morning all, as a newb to Rennlist. I would like to thank everyone for their valuable input before hand.
I have just bought a 1992 C2 from Florida, and it appears thta the car was not up to par per my first estimation. I am experiencing a significant static current drain on the battery (approx 140mh). I followed the procedure in the Bentley and ruled out the battery and the alternator. Now when I pulled the fuses I noticed a drop of 20mh at fuse #1 and an additional 20mh at fuse #12.
these 2 circuit controle #1: LH & RH front blower fan
and circuit #12: central locking, warning flasher.

What should I look for other than leaving the fuse off.... a relay maybe or faulty blower motor ???

I am also concern that the remaining 90mh will also drain my battery overnight.

thanks
Stephane

Yes, you should be looking for 40-60 milliamps for a base load. If you are drawing more, then you will run your battery down. The CCU is powered by fuse #1. Try removing the CCU and retest the load. My CCU was bad and was pulling 450 ma. After repairing the CCU, my car draws 40ma.

Good luck on finding the problem.

thanks Rob for the info. forgive me my ignorance, but what and where is the CCU??? Is it the same as the ECU?

Thanks

Sorry, CCU = Climate Control Unit. Its the unit that controls the heating/air conditioning.

You can remove it with standard stereo tools. I bought mine at Radio Shack.

If the CCU is defective you will have to change a transsistor. More info about the CCU in here:

Do you by any chance have a heater bypass tube rather than the rear blower fan?

Thanks a lot milutintin, that's great information.

Shamus, I do not have a CF bypass heater tube yet, but interesting enough I have one in order from Rennline, should arrive today or tomorrow.
Is there something I should know about the install of this carbon fiber tube/pipe?? Fabspeed has a video install of this part and just mention to zip-tie the connectors together to the fuel rail with no other mods.

Thanks

Assuming you are looking at the heater fan removal, it's a little more complicated than that. Some good info:
