Someone help me out here. I had to recharge my battery today and when I started her up, there is this rythmic clicking sound to the right of my console and below that lasts about 20 seconds...stops...begins again for about 20 seconds and then stops for good. What is this? And how do I kill it, its really annoying!

Hey just for grins put a cd in the player and see if the noise stops after the cd is ejected. I had to do some work which required me to disconnect the battery the noise was the radio even with the radio front taken off the player ejected the cd and the noise stopped. But with no cd in place the noise kept on for about twenty sec and then stopped. Pls post if you find the problem Thanks

Where is the sound coming from , exactly?Console? Is your car a C2 or C4?

If its a ticking sound then my money is on the ultrasonic microphone which on the RHD drives is under the dash on the front left of the car. Guess its on the right for the RHD cars.
