Default Climate unit left fan needed and speed control question

I had an awful sound from the left blower in the climate unit - something was caught in there. I finally got around to pulling out the firewall, et al. to access the blower - was dreaded the exercise. Found a heavily damaged squirrel cage, but no other foreign objects. The motor runs, although seemingly only on position #4. So, I wonder if someone has a bad blower motor with a good squirrel cage on it that I could try fitting - before I shell out $$$ for a new blower. (yes I am frugal, errrr, cheap).
Part 2 of the problem - the motor seems to only run on position #4. I thought it was just because something was stuck in there, and it would not turn until full power was applied. The right side blower runs properly on each speed setting. The question is - are the two blowers controlled separately? It would appear so - when I run Scantool in Test it will start each blower separately. Thus, where do I look for an error in control of speed for the left blower motor?

I have a good squirrel cage you can have for the shipping cost. PM me with zip and I'll check cost. You probably want to resolve the motor speed issue first.

Thanks! Rennlisters are the Best.
Now to sort out the fan speed issue. Will get the Scantool out today to see what codes I have and how all the pieces test out.
