Default Euro Side Marker Install

While my 964 is spending some quality time at the body shop, I am contemplating installing European Side Markers to the fenders. I know some members would **** themselves with the though of cutting holes in the fenders, but for me I like the look and the safety factor.

What I need from the smart kids is measurements and perhaps some pictures (for the not so smart kids) of the exact location of the markers for the fender. There does not exist a DIY posting for this type of operation.

If I pull the trigger on this I will ensure that proper credit is given to all parties and if I were to meet you at a bar I would buy all the beer you could drink.

Steve,
Thanks! This is exactly what I am looking for, my guess is that the measurements are from the Trailing Edge of the fender and the Bottom of Fender?
41 mm from the bottom of the fender
10.5 mm from the trailing edge of the fender

Can I take a look at the back of your turn signal?
Did yours come with them or did you do the install?

Thanks again!
John

I have not done it. On my to do list. These are pics from Euro members.
I would lay blue tape on fender and map it out carefully.

I can load a pic of ther turn signal later. Have you found the connectors up by the hood shocks?

I did those measurements for Steve back in 2007. You'll find where I made the measurments from in this thread:

Steve, I can't believe you've not got round to this yet!

I stopped by Parts Heaven today for some stuff, nice to have that place close by.

I got two connectors with pigtails about a foot long. You will need to add some wire and spade connectors to attach to side marker lights
$10 to your favorite charity.

Send me a PM with your address.

seat heaters are from http://www.heatedseatkits.com/heatedseatkits/index.html

It's nice to have seat heat. It's a rare option and hard to find, the big question is where to mount that switch and it looks like Steve showed us a pretty good place.

seat heaters are not that hard to do. But they used hog clips to hold the leather covering to the metal framework. I used some plastic ties to make the job easier. I mounted the button as you can see above and made up a connector for block A of the main relay carrier. It has the two red wires coming out of it.

Yes, you're an Engineer and can pull that off....however, for the rest of us that did not score well in electronics portion of those aptitude tests, we might need some help. I can see my clock getting pissed off at the non-factory addition and giving some type of Christmas malfunction that will cause an engine seizure.
