Default GT3 intake on a watercooled engine

I have never seen a GT3 intake on an aircooled motor until this months Excellence magazine featured one. The builder, Jeff Gamroth says it is similar to the intake plenum on the 964 RSR's. I guess I've never seen a picture of an RSR engine (hint). It sounds like the advantage would be in the intakes resonance flap feeding the individual throttle bodies. I suppose I just couldn't use my stock intake with its resonance flap to feed the Jenvey's and get similar results?!!
Anyone else seen anything similar?
