"I think this is the start of a beautiful relationship.."
Well, I did it.. I bought the 91 Targa! A buddy of mine went with me to pick it up today and I drove it the 90 or so miles home...what a thrill! My hands were sweating the whole way! The seller was awesome and the transaction went without a hitch. (Good luck, Mike on your quest for your "Track Star!")
When I got back, I had to pick my daughter up and she said "Is this a race car?!" I said "Yes it is!"
I cant wait to start learning what all it and I can do.
After the drive today I have already learned a few things:
1) It doesnt like to do 40mph!
2) I need to learn to trust 1st and not think it's reverse!
3) The clutch is firm and awesome and It shifts effortlessly
4) I cant wait for tomorrow!
So that I don't get booted out of here, I have posted some pics!
I will upload more pics to Photobucket later tonight.
Joe
BTW..I want to thank all who have responded and helped me along the way. I really appreciate it and look forward to asking more questions and hopefully start contributing as I learn more about these wonderful machines.

outstanding!!!!
Great looking Targa. The proper color too
Absolutely correct - mine doesn't like anything under 50 as well.
Speaking of race cars....... lets see if we can get you hooked early. NC region SCCA is putting on a High Performance Drivers Education event up at VIR March 12-13.....always a great way to get to know your P-car
let me know if you are interested and I will send you the link.
Congrats on the purchase.....everyday is a great day with these cars

Congrats...Very nice.....Enjoy the long drives and going out to the garage to keep looking at it a half a dozen times before you go to sleep every night...I know I still do even after 11 years of ownership...

You're all set! Drive the car for 6 months before spending money on the mods - in you're opinion you may not want to do anything. You have a nice set of rims, the mirrors are modern looking and the car looks fab.
Nice job, it was worth the wait!
Congrats and welcome the madness!!

Congrats, Joe. One question...was this the car for which the PPI turned up a low cylinder compression? Just curious.
Once again, congrats and enjoy your "new" 964!
