Default Will GT3 wheels fit?

Hi all,

I just bought a C4 in Riviera blue and wanted to ask if my original GT3RS wheels could fit into this C4?

Thanks folks!

What are the sizes of the wheels? I'm guessing 18+". The factory recommends only 16 or 17" for the 964s, except for a few with special front spindles. I can't remember the details.

If I had a 964 and a set of original GT3RS wheels, I would sell the wheels and buy a brand new set of Speedlines or BBS Le Mans wheels.

I actually think that the design of the GT3RS wheels is a bit to modern for the classic appearance of the 964. And if they are GT3RS wheels they can be transferred into funds for a set of Speedlines or maybe even better BBS Le Mans.

BTW: I think the rears are too wide for the 964. Max on the 964 is 10" with the optimum ET (around 47 to 50).

?

10ET44 is widely used.

10ET40 is my opinion on the optimum as it requires a small fender roll to make it fit to the nearest milimetre.

These look nice and in keeping with the car IMO.

Those are good numers as well but the closer You get to the fender, the more limitations You have in height adjustment, fender roll and camber.

Also the tire width plays a part in the equation.

Thanks guys. Mine are from the 997 GT3RS.1 and are painted black. My 964 is mexico blue so thought it would a cheap mod since they were lying around in my garage. I just saw that my offsets were 51/53 and wheel size are 8.5x19 and 12x19 so looks way too big I guess. Oh well. I love this car as much as my 7GT3RS! :-)

Welcome to the 964 side. You have my dream garage!

When you get your wheel situation straighten out, take a pic of the two together. 997s and 964s look great together.

Here's a helpful 964/wheels thread that will give you a good idea of how various wheels look on a 964:

tim - I wil try it out. thanks.

911Jetta - yes I am blessed to these two cars. You can't compare. Each has it's own unique qualities. But bottom line is one can enjoy a 911 without having to pay bucket load of cash. :-)

Silverboy,
I wouldn't compare them, I just like seeing pictures of the two together. Porsche can be very proud of both!

Do I also see a Ducati in the garage...hope to add a Monster to the garage in the next couple years...getting my moto license this spring and then will slowly work my way up to the Monster after I graduate from a couple smaller bikes first.

Good luck with the wheel search!

The split Gt3 wheels won't IIRC, the Boxster offset GT3 types will, pics of mine on these and Pesty has them.

Yes 18's.

Ride can be a little stiff, and tramlining on poor roads can be an issue, otherwise they are ok.
