Make sure that top works properly and the window is clear. Someone once told me the convertible top on a 964 has 300 moving parts and if it's screwed up and it can cost $3000-$4000 to fix. Big financial liability with the rag top. Some of the other cabrio owners can chime in about the roof.
Where in PA is this guy located?

Yes, I know the town, I grew up in Media, PA (google it).
I may attend my mom's birthday party on Sunday, I'm sure at this point - I have a big party Saturday night and if things get out of hand then there's no way I can make the drive up there. If I don't drink then there's a good chance that I will go.
Are you kicking tires or are you serious?
$27K is a lot money for the ragtop, you can wait it out and find something for 5-7k less fairly easy.
I have owned 36 different cars (mostly German), while not an expert, it's not going to be my first lap around the track - if you know what I mean....

I am very serious about getting a 964. Cab is not my first choice, however. Coupe is my first choice, but I also like the Targas too.I appreciate your offer, though, I wont need you to look at that one.
I have found a 91 Targa with 58k for alot less that is only 2 hrs away from me. I am going to try to look at it tomorrow..
I will post that one later today

Here is another data point on a LOW mileage cab.

'92 so the DMF and head gasket aren't an issue.

Little bit of "dealer-itis" to call it "no excuses, no pick" with an accident on its record.
Hard to say what the price means unless the full extent of the accident damage and repair/repaint is known. Could be a little or a lot.

Similar item. Clean Carfax. Would guess his reserve would be in the very-ambitious $34K neighborhood.

yes, he has high hopes, destined to be another unsold eBay item. not a fan of the original wheels or white (apologies in advance to any white owners out there with D90s)
"never been polished" OK, that's a little too original. It could certainly use some wax with the winter we're experiencing up here. You also have crappy Long Island roads (No apologies there, they do suck) and ocean salt in the air. Interesting how with 6 days remaining the bids have already surpassed the black '92, so the unknown accident must really matter to the bidders.

Reminds me of the "never been washed" 993 that somebody posted a couple months ago.
Honestly, for the love of Pete... how do you document that?
And how much extra would that be worth?
The first time in 15 years water hits it - it turns to dust!!!

Updates....
The white '91 C2 cab with 18,720 miles (and never been waxed :-) ended at $31K

The black '92 C4 cab with 19,965 miles was sold outside of eBay for $29,995. I emailed the dealer and he assured me the accident on the CarFax very minor and involved just a repainted bumper.

Then he tried to sell me

Both higher than I would have anticipated. The market seems to be firming up. Good news for us current owners, eh?
