Very humid climates

Living in a very humid climate, i am a little concerned about its affects on the car. For example, i openned the garage this weekend and everything was covered with condensation. I assume if it is everywhere I can see, then it is also where I cannot see as well.

Should I be overly concerned about this? Should I be taking any precations?

Thanks.

Corrosion! I have a de-humidifier in my garage for just that reason.

I was thinking dehumidifier, however i am going to have to do a lot of work to better seal the garage. Also there is a room over the garage that does not have a door, so it would be a large area to cover. Would it work in a localized area?

Thanks,

Yeah, I would do whatever you can to cut down the humidity it is just bad for everything.

I heard that if it's a heated garage, do the full insulation/dehumidifier as best you can. If, however, it's an unheated garage then insulation can actually trap moisture inside and lead to things like mildew, etc....

A single incandescent 60W bulb can do a lot to help eliminate condensation.
