Is it ready yet Norm? Are you going to bring it along to the RS day at Oulton on the 14th?

Well you never know do you Steve? We can but hope! I'm sure Norm is doing his utmost to get it finished in time!! The only thing is everyone would probably be too distracted to go out on track!! I'll be there with my mate Paul and hopefully have a few passenger laps now that I've found my sea legs (track day legs) following your great driving last year. Brian (Williams)

May have the odd pics to show you Brideyo

Not promising anything Steve and Brian at the minute the cars going through a snag list such as Speedo, inner door pull not working well, etc. Car is getting registered and MOTing, have a slight dent on drivers door front bumper has a little scuff, little leak on on BBS wheel.

I think before she comes out properly she needs all snaggings done!! huh feel drained!!

Still a list to do:

*Plate retention & new plate on.
*Harnesses.
*Flooring on passenger and drivers footwell.
*Fire extinguisher.
*Sun Visor Strip.
*Rear sticker on boot.
*BBS Stickers for the BBS wheels
*Waiting for rear vented disks.
*not happy with front bumper (back to bodyshop) and for the final buff and detail.
*waiting spacer at front.
*odd parts from Porsche back order.
*2 minds if to put radio in now.
* &&&&&&& the list goes on & on & on!!!!!

Norm, At least you do have 2 other 64's to drive.
My dread is that once the work starts, is it ever going to finish.
We started stripping mine down for a bit a clean up. Found the cause of an oil leak, cleaned and prep'd it all, now I'm not sure she's going to be ready for Spa in 2 weeks time and I don't want to go with only half the job done.

True Stu, its disheartening at times when your nearly finished and so many snaggggggs! snagggggg! Snagggggs one after the other the list gets smaller then bigger!!!

Had her cutting out a few times when taking her for GEOing and found out the cause of the idle valve.

Hey Norm

If your writing up a snag list then it's because you're on the home straight. Keep up the good work- she's going to be a cracker.

Thanks Aplus not home straight yet but getting there.

She's back and having a little fresh air with a clear bit of health from MOT now awaiting new numberplate transfer. Still a few things to do the snag goes on!!

I have finally decided to put the registration B1AUP for Amazon.

A nice surprise this week, a friend from France found me a C4 Lightweight Steering wheel made by Momo known as the V35 (35mm) same as the one in the C4 lightweight. The steering wheel size same size as the clubsport 968 wheel and the red stitching is a little faded. Just need the Porsche logo horn push and off we go, then again would like this retrimmed back to red or blue stitching.

Very nice norm! A rare find to be sure!

I've just acquired a V32, the 320mm version of your wheel. It's with Andy "snappygaiters" at the moment (with a spare handbrake handle) for a retrim into napa black (smooth and perforated hide combo) with red stitch

I presume the V35 is 350mm?

Keep us posted with pics

Chris

These are rare here in the UK.

Only trial fitted it Norm, but felt chunky! Could have sworn it was only about 300mm until I measured it. It's at least as thick as the club sport I have.

I'd been looking for ages and managed to get it from a JDM second hand parts place.

I'll need arms like Jeff Capes to turn the wheels

Hehehe the smaller steering wheel will need more effort right? I remember have a Momo 280 in a vw and it was tiny with lots of turns

But it looks nice in your photo. I would like to get it trimmed too, but no rush as yet. Just get he rest of the car sorted 1st.
