Default Missing "All" Underbody Panels

Evidently I'm "missing all underbody panels" on my '90 C4. I've heard of the engine tray and I'm fine with it gone, but I'm told there is one that covers the torque tube and one that covers the diff? Am I critical w/o these or should I be shopping for some used parts? (The last shop my car was in quoted over $1k for replacements!) Does anyone have a parts list on these? Can I find it in Adrian's book or the Bentley manual?

Thanks.

There are only pretty pictures in Adrian's book.
Check with PartsHeaven in Cali. They should be able to fix you up for a reasonable amount of money.

Doug,
DC Auto is also a source...looks like the center panel (#8) is $75.

Thanks guys! I'll need to visually confirm what I need, but good info here.

I presume I'm not in any real danger here while I'm waiting on all of this?

Thanks again.

If you stay *on* the road, you'll be fine. I would however replace everything if it was my car. Start with the fuel pump cover and the center tube cover. Then the front one, then finish with the all-important, life-and-death, never-out-without-it engine cover.

I keep mine under the car just in case any spontaneous sledding breaks out, or a civil riot.

Be prepared...
