Default 964 at Silverstone Circuit

Only a couple of weeks ago the F1 boys were storming around Silverstone for the British GP. On Tuesday, it was taken over for the day by Porsche Club GB and I took my C2 along to try it out. It was wet in the morning so I took it very easy on the part worn Toyo R888s....a few moments in the corners but nothing serious. By the afternoon it dried up so lap speeds increased accordingly .

Suffice to say that it's a very fast circuit (brushing 130 mph at the end of the Hangar straight and 80 to 90 mph through some of the corners like Copse and Bridge) and great fun to drive in a 964....even if you have to move over a lot for the GT3s like I did.

A few pics and on board video:

What a great treat to get to drive there! Same way I feel after driving Watkins Glen. The history of racing makes it a truly special experience....

Couldn't agree with you more....it's quite special to think of all the greats that have raced around that track and to think that only a couple of weeks ago, that Schumacher was strolling around our garage
