Default I would Trade my 964 For This....

I spent the last 10 days in Germany on business but had a few days to play. Went to the Porsche Museum and that was great but over at the Porsche dealer across the street was this little gray 911 Sport Classic. I would trade for this in a heart beat - if money were not a stumbling block.

Cash out the kids college fund as this baby was in the neighborhood of $260K USD - OUCH!

Great looking car, but the price is too steep. Think of what you could get for 260K......and have some cash left over!

i dont see anything special to justify that car's price beyond a normal 997. That price buy you ALOT of other options, including some very special cars that most rennlisters would drool for.

I always felt that if porsche is making a limited edition car for a high price, then it should be very special and unique versus the standard car .. e.g. a real RS versus a carrera.

Just as most of you have said: very nice car but not a nice price at all

Nah, better to keep yours and buy a new 997 turbo and a Panamera and have money left over.

I'd take that tail in a second.
In. A. Second.

...but that's just me.

(Movable tails being like pearlescent paint to me. Both are exquisitely rendered and, err,... fidgety answers to questions that I've, frankly, never asked.)

Love the car but leave the double-bubble roof to Zagato.

the 911 classic was a limited production to commemorate the anniversary wasn't it? I remember seeing this advertised somewheres on here...

edit: apparently it was prouced simply to show off Porsche Exclusive, and is not available to the US market

What's the percentage breakdown of NEW Porsche buyers with more common sense than money?

I do love that people buy new ones, so that I/we have something to enjoy at a realistic price when they've tired of the latest/greatest/weirdest.

Exactly why is this 997 so rare? It looks like a normal 991...
