Urgent yet simple questions on rear blower
Need to change the motor (bearing failure, see post https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...wer-motor.html), do not have the part and need to use the car.
COUTION: South Spain + summer = VERY HOT!!!!
Questions:
- Can I drive the car without it?
- If not, can I just disconect it?
- Any alternatives?
Thanks in advance for your much apreciated time and help.

I would just disconnect it and drive the car. The only time that motor is used is when you need heat in the cabin or on very hot days when you shut the engine off, it will start up and blow air over the engine to cool it. I have never had mine come on yet for the second purpose, and we see temps in the same range as what you are seeing.

There may be some problems with the CCU when the blower motor is disconnected, the AC runs off the two front blower motors. Try and disconnect it at the plug next to the motor, and see what happens; you are not hurting anything.

Just thought of something. If you are driving in hot weather, and have the CCU set at cold, blue dot, the blower motor should not be running, I would leave it and just drive it, that way you should not have any problems with the CCU.
