Default rear blower motor bolts keep spinning! Help

I'm trying to get my eibach spring install done, but the driver side rear is ending up being a huge pain. The bolts that hold the blower motor to the manifold just spin and don't come out. I've tried holding the spacer stationary with a pair of pliers, but that doesn't help. It won't come out at all - any ideas?

Yeah I read through all of the related threads on this subject, and no one really mentions how they got the blower motor bolts off.

I decided to screw my courage to the sticking place and just go at it with a pair of pliers. I had coax out the brass threads out of the intake manifold along with the bolt. Thankfully it was a tight enough fit going back in that I was able to tap it in and it stays on there fine. I'll probably go back in there this weekend with some jb weld to make the brass threads solid on the intake mani again, but I'm just glad I'm done with the spring install!

I had to use pliers too.

For the plastic manifolds I thought using a ViseGrip pliers (to grab onto the metal insert) was common practice (to compensate this obvious design flaw).

San Diego's Garrett was the first person to show me that trick (what, now?)... five years ago? That technique's been used numerous times since. No problems.

Just be gentle on that insert!

ha well I wish Garrett was there with me at 11 last night when I was scratching my head trying to figure out how to do the last shock

I'm wondering if it's just heat fatigue and replacing the intake tube and such completely would help?

pliers on the tube helps get them free. I've had to do that several times. If it wasn't for the cold weather we get here, I'd do the blower bypass in a heartbeat.

Hmm - what is this blower bypass you speak of?
