How to find out if a 90 C2 has had the cylinder head update?
I have been researching a few prospective cars and most owners know for sure if it's been done or not but one of them is unsure as he is older and only owned the car for the last 4 years. Is there a way to check the VIN through the dealer network? Or is there even a way to tell without pulling it apart?
Thanks,
Ed

There was a specific engine serial number that the change was made. You can search for it. Its been almost 20 years. Why worry about it now? If the engine is running ok, does matter? I would do the standard PPI and not worry about this issue. My two cents.
By the way, my cab's engine is without and has 230K miles.

If done correctly there should be a "-10" or "-20" stamped on the intake flange. See arrow #1 in picture.
